Through it, I wanted to document my first trip to Romania, discovering a place that is both distant and familiar at the same time, thanks to my study of the musical tradition of this place. I wanted to fix some moments and thoughts of those days of discovery and creation on paper. During those days, I watched people in public places, in the streets, bars, and parks, engaged in their work. I then redesigned signs and inscriptions that had a reminder of a not so distant past after all. While on-site, I was working on two works for the project "Sonic Narratives" curated by Philippe Franck for Simultan within Timisoara - the European capital of culture: the concert 'Doyne' and the sound installation 'Temeswarer Nachrichten'. In 1771, the 'Temeswarer Nachrichten' was the first newspaper in Romania and the first German newspaper in south-eastern Europe.
