The word translates into an image. Writing becomes a painting. Narrative art turns into visual art. Each picture is a story (and vice versa): it expresses thoughts and emotions related to intimate themes and social problems, crossing the personal and the political. Painter and writer Gabriella Kuruvilla was born in Milan in 1969 to an Indian father and an Italian mother: a meeting of worlds and cultures, which has always influenced her life and work. Graduated in architecture and professional journalist; she has exhibited her paintings in Italy and abroad, illustrated the book covers of the Varianti and Città d'autore series of Morellini Editore and has published novels and short stories for various publishing houses, including Baldini Castoldi Dalai, Laterza, Terre di Mezzo, Morellini Editore and Smemoranda.
