…Migrants & power, kings & colonels, prime ministers & high officials, civilians & soldiers, the sea between two continents. What is the connection? A handful of years and some thousands of lives. My Moleskine is a
little journey between Italy and the Horn of Africa. I found old photographs and political propaganda materials, which I reproduced in pastel and graphite pencils. At the end of the day, I think there is no point in underlining that these issues are still relevant today; we should rather recognize the subversive role that each of us plays, or might play, within these power relationships. Bon voyage.
The whole Moleskine is drawn, inspired by his experience in Africa. Archival Fund
