The aim of the project (con)temporary Venice 2010 is to map the temporary and contemporary aspect of everyday life in contrast to the "never changing" physical enviroment in Venice. The medium through which the different views are collected is this friendship book. A friendship book is usually used by children in which they ask their friends and schoolmates to fill in personal data, interests and helps create an emotional connection. By reading one book you can remember your friends and the time you spent together. Also the Venice friendship book asks the interviewees about thei personal data, further more is not about the writer only, but also about their personal view of Venice, about their emotions and feeling evoked by their friend Venice. Venice asks her inhabitants and guests the questions, "What do you like and what do you note about me?", "Why are you here?", "What do you wish for me in the future?". Mapping the favourite places, common and individual opinions, the friendship book gives an impression of contemporary relation in the city. Archival Fund
